A little while ago, Andrew Morton mentioned that it would be good if the different kernel subsystem maintainers would give a short "State of the subsytem" email that shows the outstanding bugs and issues for the current -git kernel so that everyone knows if there are things that are still problems. So today I did just that for the USB, PCI and PCI Hotplug, and Driver core and sysfs subsytems. These summaries aren't really useful for users to see what has changed in the kernel in these subsystems, but they should be able to help developers see what needs to be done, and what is going to be changing in the next kernel. I'll try to keep these up if people find them useful, and if anyone knows of anything that I can add to them, please let me know. posted Mon, 06 Mar 2006 in [/diary] |
